Update on Longdon Bridge repair works

The Parish Council has received the following pdate regarding planned works at Longdon Upon Tern No.1 Bridge from Telford and Wrekin Council:

We are preparing to undertake detailed site investigation and preliminary works on the structure and these works are scheduled to take place on 12th & 13th February 2026.

To allow the works to be completed safely, a full road closure will be in place during this period. However, access will be maintained for pedestrians, cyclists, and equine traffic throughout the works.

The planned activities include a range of detailed surveys, trial pit excavations, and vegetation clearance on the structure and along the approach verges.

The Parish Council will be in contact with Highways regarding planned diversion routes and signage. Updates will be posted on the Parish Council website and Facebook page. If you have any queries or concerns please contact the Clerk on rodingtonpc@gmail.com
